31 Days – Take in your surroundingsPosted: October 19, 2012
I can’t believe that the days are flying by so quickly! Can you believe 31 days is already half way done?
Yesterday, I was lucky enough to hold a beautiful 12 hour old baby girl and, trust me, I enjoyed every second. I am sort of baby crazy when I see or hear of a new born. Then, I go home to B and I am reminded that we don’t need another kid just yet. I love him like crazy, but he is a mover and keeps us busy!
While catching up with our friends in their hospital room, I looked out their window and realized just how gorgeous it was outside. I am so used to being in the house or in the car lately that I haven’t really just enjoyed being outside. So, I am vowing to add a little more of the great outdoors into my daily routine while I still can.
The Fall in Michigan is quite possibly one of the most beautiful experiences in the world. The leaves are changing, the air has a crispness to it, and the beauty just surrounds you wherever you go. One of the things I love about Spring is that there is a freshness to it. Everyone you encounter seems to have a newly found spring in their step. (See what I did there? Spring… Get it?) The Fall has its own personality, too. Everyone looks cozy in their warmer clothes and walks around with their Starbucks cups filled with Pumpkin Spice Lattes. The air feels clean and cool.
There really isn’t anything special about this post. I just wanted to share a pretty picture and put my good intentions to add to our fresh air intake every day out there to the masses in hopes that I will actually do it. Did you see that rainbow up there? This was literally their view in the hospital. Nice, huh?
What are your favorite things about Fall?
